Line Dance / Social Ballroom(Inc. Sequence) 6 Week Courses Starting Thursday September 21st 2023

 Venue:- Mitchelstown Community Leisure Centre is located at Brigown Road, Brigown, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, P67 EK58, Ireland, Munster 

 Class times: 7:50pm – 8:50pm (Line Dance ) or 9:00pm – 10:00pm Social Ballroom (Including Sequence) Dancing 

What Is Line dancing?

Line dancing involves people standing in lines performing dance movements together. It consists of patterned foot movements performed to a number of counts per sequence. The dances are done one-wall, two-wall, or four-wall to varied music including country & western music, swing , salsa, cha cha cha and more. It’s a great way to keep fit, meet new friends and learn to dance in a fun relaxed environment. This class is open to those who have taken this class previously as well as to new people

What is Sequence Dancing?

Sequence Dancing is a type of ballroom dancing in which the couples dance around the floor in a fixed sequence of steps. All participants perform the same steps and movements simultaneously, so the dancers follow each other around the dance floor and everyone starts and stops at the same time.

There are three main types of Sequences namely Standard, Latin-American and Old-time or Classical dance sequences which cover 16 bars of music in the genre being danced.

• It’s a great hobby to keep you fit
• It’s good for improving your coordination and memory
• It gets you out the house and it’s an amazing way to release tension

• You can participate solo, with a partner or as group activity

Note: A Partner (Although preferable) is not required for joining the Social Ballroom (Including Sequence) Dance Course ,
