DANCING DEREK – Terms & Conditions
- Child Protection Policy:-Dancing Derek is committed to protecting all of the young people in his care. Dancing Derek has been Garda Vetted by the Dance Sport Federation of Ireland, the Cloyne and Cork Dioscese in County Cork and has completed TUSLA training.Photographs taken within Dancing Dereks school are done in a controlled environment by professionals and these photographs are only used for PR purposes for Dancing Dereks website, business facebook pages and for publication in the local newspapers. If you do not wish your child to feature in photographs please contact me.
2.Before Booking :- please be advised to consult with your medical practitioner if you are pregnant, elderly, asthmatic, taking other medicines or receiving regular treatment. Those with pre-existing medical conditions which could be aggravated by attending a course run by Dancing Derek are advised not to enroll. Dancing Derek will not be held responsible for any injury, illness or other medical conditions which result from attending the class. Please refer to the ‘Learn to dance’ and Class schedule’ sections of our website to give a full description of the class prior to booking.
Dancing Derek adheres to health and safety measures in so far as this applies to the venues provided. All venues have been checked and monitored for safety in accordance with reasonable standards.
For safety and insurance purposes only those booked onto a course with Dancing Derek or the Parents/Guardians of Children (where applicable) , will be allowed in the room where the class is taking place
3. Contract – Any booking(s) made by you, whether through the schools website or otherwise, shall be deemed an offer by you to purchase the relevant class courses subject to these booking conditions and it shall be at Dancing Dereks discretion to accept the offer
No contract between you and Dancing Derek shall come into existence until the School accepts full payment and issues a confirmation receipt by post or email. All contracts with the school and matters arising from them are subject to Irish Law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts. The person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the party and is responsible for all payment due from the party.Evidence of e-mail dispatch will be accepted as evidence of receipt.
Booking services with Dancing Derek are currently only available to person with a minimum age of 18 and by submitting a booking you warrant to confirm to Dancing Derek that you comply with the arrangements.
4. Payment by Bank Transfer
A deposit by bank transfer is required for all products at the time of booking.In the event that Dancing Derek cannot get confirmation and cannot offer an alternative, a refund will be issued. The school will not accept any responsibility for cash sent through the post.
5. Alterations by Dancing Derek
Although Dancing Derek makes every effort to ensure the published course descriptions are correct, he cannot guarantee that all classes will go ahead.There is a minimum quota per class and in the unlikely event that the minimum quota is not reached, Dancing Derek reserves therefore reserves the right to change/cancel or offer an alternative class. If this is not satisfactory, a full refund will be issued.
6. Cancellation Policy
Dancing Derek does not offer trial classes so if your child decides not to return after their first lesson your are entitled to a full refund. After this however no refunds will be given and a 100% cancellation fee applies. Fees can be carried forward to the next term if you wish. Fees are non transferrable.
In the event of class cancellations, due to illness, unavailability of room, etc. these classes will be added to the end of the course, although we would endeavor to hold them in the same venue, dependent on availability.
